See what happened in 2014!
On Saturday, March 15th we had a fun day of skiing and seeing who could collect the best poker hand.
This was our second annual St Patrick’s Day Poker Ski. For fun and fun prizes!!
Due to a bureaucratic glitch we could not get the proper permit in place to allow a money prize to be awarded this year. Instead there were a bunch of fun Paddy’s Day themed prizes handed out for the best hands.
All of the proceeds from the day will be used towards purchases for the club. The first project was to re-frame the picture of Jean Paulson (that used to hang behind the woodstove). It is now proudly displayed in our foyer. Thanks to Leone McHugh for her great work!! Our second purchase will hopefully be a new vacuum cleaner – cheers are already being heard from anyone who has had to use the old one!!
In 2013 we used the club half of the proceeds to purchase a new coffeemaker – one that doesn’t leak all over the counter.
